Deputy Tao Leads Police to Search Phuket Provincial Secretarys House for Additional Evidence

"Deputy Tao" led police from the Department of Special Investigation to search the house of the Phuket Provincial Secretary to find additional evidence. Mr. Rungrueang was present inside the house and cooperated with the authorities.

At 15:00 on 27 June 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Jaroonkiat Pankaew, Deputy Commander of the Crime Suppression Division, led police from the Department of Special Investigation to search the house of Mr. Rungrueang Thimabut, the Phuket Provincial Secretary, to look for evidence related to alleged misconduct. Upon searching the house, officers found Mr. Rungrueang had returned home after the court granted him temporary release on bail using his official position, with conditions including a 100,000 baht fine if he missed required appearances and a prohibition against tampering with evidence.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rungrueang had household members cooperate fully with the authorities during the search, which took approximately two hours to complete.

Initially, investigators from the Department of Special Investigation believe this location matches the place described by the complainant, where a meeting regarding examination matters was arranged, described as two adjoining corner houses.

However, officials initially seized some documents and computers to examine whether any case-related information remains.
