
“Beer Poramet” and “Jek Wat,” the two leading candidates for Pattaya mayor, appeared bright and cheerful as they cast their votes. They also encouraged Pattaya residents to exercise their voting rights together to determine the direction and future of Pattaya city.
The atmosphere during the Pattaya City Council and mayoral elections was lively from early morning after polling stations opened at 08:00, with local political figures continuously arriving to vote.
At 08:15 on 28 June 2026, at Polling Station 22, Electoral Zone 2, inside the Darul Ibadah Mosque in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, Poramet Ngampichet, candidate for Pattaya mayor, arrived to vote for both the city council and mayoral elections, accompanied by his wife and daughter. He was listed as voter number 195.
After voting, Poramet urged Pattaya residents to participate in the election, stating its great importance as it determines Pattaya’s future direction. He called on everyone to vote democratically so that every voice contributes to the city's development.
Meanwhile, the morning atmosphere at various polling stations was orderly, with voters steadily arriving. Election officials and security personnel facilitated the process to ensure transparency and smooth proceedings.
. Ittiwat Watanasathsorn, known as Jek Wat, mayoral candidate representing the People's Party (number 1), arrived to vote at 09:30 at Polling Station 17, Electoral Zone 1, in the canteen of Wat Boonsampan School, where he was registered as voter number 480.
Ittiwat wore a casual outfit: a gray crew-neck T-shirt featuring the cartoon character Grogu from the Star Wars movies with the English phrase “This is my good side” on the chest, along with long pants and sneakers. He smiled, greeted residents warmly, and respectfully greeted officials throughout the voting process.
After voting, Ittiwat told reporters that his team campaigned to the best of their ability, but ultimately, it is up to the voters. He encouraged everyone to come out and vote to ensure Pattaya has good leadership. The atmosphere was lively, with residents smiling and in good spirits. He said he did not follow any superstitions before voting, choosing comfort and ease, dressing casually. Seeing the continuous turnout of voters made him very happy.
