"Meteorological Department" issued the 9th alert warning of "heavy to very heavy rainfall" from 30 June to 3 July 2026. Check the provinces expected to be affected, with possible flash floods and mountain runoff.

30 June 2026Meteorological Departmentissued a statement about"Heavy to very heavy rainfall over Thailand and strong winds in the upper Andaman Sea (effective from 30 June to 3 July 2026), 9th edition (99/2569)".It stated that from 30 June to 3 July 2026, Thailand will experience heavy to very heavy rain in some areas, especially in the east and the west coast of the south, due to a monsoon trough passing through the north and upper northeast, combined with a strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Residents in these areas should beware of dangers from heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall that could cause flash floods and mountain runoff, particularly in foothill areas near waterways and low-lying areas.

Winds in the upper Andaman Sea will be relatively strong, with waves 2-3 meters high. Areas with thunderstorms may have waves exceeding 3 meters. The lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand will have waves around 2 meters high, with thunderstorms causing waves above 2 meters. Fishermen in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from leaving shore during this period.
