The King Grants Royal Patronage to Injured and Deceased from Pickup Truck Collision with Monk Pilgrimage

His Majesty the King has graciously granted royal patronage to the injured and deceased resulting from the pickup truck collision with a group of monks on pilgrimage in Mukdahan Province.


On 3 July 2026, reporters reported that a pickup truck collided with a procession of monks walking along Highway 2034 near the 6-kilometer marker, on the route between Mukdahan Province and Don Tan District, specifically near Ban Na Wiang Kae, Na Si Nuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province, on 2 July 2026. Initially, 10 monks were confirmed deceased, with several others injured, as previously reported.

In this regard, His Majesty the King has graciously accepted all injured monks as patients under royal patronage and has also accepted the bodies of the deceased monks under royal patronage.
