The Judicial Commission meeting unanimously appointed "Weerapong Sudawong," Deputy President of the Supreme Court, to be the 52nd President of the Supreme Court, effective from 1 Oct 2026 GMT+7.

On 6 Jul, the Judicial Commission held a key session to consider judicial appointments and transfers effective 1 Oct 2026. The meeting unanimously approved appointing Mr. Weerapong Sudawong, Deputy President of the Supreme Court, as the 52nd President of the Supreme Court starting 1 Oct 2026 GMT+7. Following this, the Office of the Judiciary will submit the proposal for royal endorsement as part of the formal appointment process.
