The Bangkok Medical Department has announced a cloud system malfunction affecting the information systems of 14 affiliated hospitals, resulting in delays in some service steps. Staff are working diligently to resolve the issue.
On 7 July 2026, the Facebook pageof the Bangkok Medical Departmentposted a statement saying a clarification regarding the temporary disruption of information systems at hospitals affiliated with the Medical Department.
The Bangkok Medical Department apologizes sincerely to all service users for the information system disruption affecting 14 affiliated hospitals, which may cause delays in certain service procedures.

The department assures that patient safety and continuity of medical care are top priorities. They have switched to paper-based data recording and service methods to ensure ongoing treatment, though some procedures may take longer than usual.

Service guidelines during the system disruption
All hospitals remain open as usual, with measures in place to ensure continuous patient care as follows:
1. Patients with appointments are kindly requested to bring their previous medication envelopes or medical history documents (if any) to help doctors assess treatment and prescribe medication safely and continuously.
2. Please bring your national ID card to verify your identity before receiving services.
3. Please allow extra time for services, as some steps require manual data recording and document retrieval, which may take longer than usual.
4. Emergency rooms (ER) operate 24 hours as usual, prioritizing emergency and critical patients first.
5. Inpatient departments (IPD) continue to provide treatment and care according to safety standards.
