
Update on typhoon path "Bavi" is set to make landfall on the eastern coast of Fujian Province, China, around July 11-12, 2026. The storm’s center will not move into Thailand but will strengthen the monsoon covering the country, causing heavy rainfall in many areas.
It has been reported that the Facebook pageof the Meteorological Departmentposted a message updating the path of Typhoon "Bavi" on July 9, 2026, stating that the typhoon’s path moves north of Taiwan island and will make landfall on the eastern coast of Fujian Province, China, on July 11-12, 2026. The storm’s center will not move into Thailand.
Impact on Thailand
From July 10-14, 2026, the monsoon covering Thailand will strengthen, with waves and winds 2-4 meters high on the west coast of the south, the western part of central Thailand, and the east. Particularly, Ranong, Phang Nga, Chanthaburi, Trat, and Kanchanaburi provinces will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas.
