Chai Nat Primary Education Office Joins Volunteers to Restore Khao Khayai Forest Back to Heavenly Mountain

The Chai Nat Primary Education Service Area Office, together with the Nong Mamong Education Coordination Center, has united volunteer forces to restore the Khao Khayai forest, continuing the concept of transforming "Khao Khayai, the desert mountain, into Heavenly Mountain."

On 10 July 2026, Mr. Nirut Khemngoen, Director of the Chai Nat Primary Education Service Area Office, assigned Mr. Somr Sak Wan Nonam and Acting Sub-Lieutenant Thanachot Hraira, Deputy Directors, along with executives, teachers, and educational staff from the Nong Mamong Education Coordination Center, to participate in the "Volunteer Unity to Develop Khao Khayai Forest in Chai Nat Province" activity at Khao Khayai area, Khao Tha Phra Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chai Nat Province.

This activity is driven by Dr. Pichet Wanthong, Inspector General of the Ministry of Education, who emphasizes strong participation from schools and affiliated agencies in environmental conservation, fostering a "love for hometown" awareness among staff and youth as a foundation for sustainable natural resource development.

The activity also continues the Khao Khayai restoration project, inspired by Mr. Sutthipong Chulcharoen, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, who initiated the transformation of the area from a "desert mountain" back to a "heavenly mountain," aiming to establish a suitable ecosystem for wildlife habitation and a recreational area for Chai Nat residents.

Furthermore, the Chai Nat Primary Education Service Area Office has set a guideline for its 12 affiliated Education Coordination Centers to rotate participation in volunteer activities every Friday continuously, demonstrating unity and contributing to the ongoing conservation of local natural resources.
