Survivor Recalls Narrow Escape as Flames Erupt at Stage and Spread to Exit Door

A survivor described narrowly escaping death. Just as they were about to settle the bill to leave, they saw flames flare up at the front of the stage before spreading to the exit door. Then, people inside the venue ran for their lives. Three friends who came together are now missing.

On 13 Jul 2026 GMT+7, reporters confirmed that a fire at the Beer House at Lat Phrao, near Lat Phrao Soi 1, has resulted in 27 deaths—9 men and 18 women. Most bodies were found near the venue's restrooms.

Rescue teams have already removed all the deceased from the venue. Meanwhile, injured individuals have been gradually transported to hospitals for urgent treatment.

Next, forensic officials will identify all 27 deceased before transferring the bodies to the hospital. Meanwhile, the area has been opened for relatives to report missing persons at the command center near the Phahon Yothin BTS station.

Some survivors said they and four friends came to the venue and were settling their bill at 23:48 when they saw flames ignite at the front of the stage. The fire quickly spread to the nearby exit door. They couldn’t react fast enough as everyone rushed out. The survivor ran but fell and was injured. The fire was intense with thick smoke. They are still searching for three friends who came together. Attempts to call those friends have gone unanswered, possibly because their phones remain inside the venue.

Two other friends who arrived later said they had just finished getting ready to enter the venue when they heard about the fire and felt their hearts race. They believe if they had arrived sooner, they might not have survived.

At 03:15 GMT+7, rescue workers prepared to transfer all deceased bodies to the Police Hospital morgue. Those seeking missing relatives or belongings can contact the Phahon Yothin police station.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
