Crowd Files Complaints Against Khao Pip Festival Organizer Over Cancelled Major Concert in Chumphon PR Team and Vendors Frustrated

Chumphon faces severe cascading damage as organizers, coordinators, fans, and vendors rush to file complaints after the major concert “Khao Pip Festival” was cancelled. Famous singer Sek Loso posted an announcement cancelling the event, citing incomplete payment from the organizer as the reason.

Regarding the case, Sek Loso posted on his personal Facebook at 10:00 a.m. on 11 July 2026 stating, “Today’s concert at Khao Pip, Chumphon is cancelled. The host did not pay the full amount. This is to inform everyone. Thank you.” This abrupt cancellation caused damage to many parties including coordinators, organizers, vendors who booked booths, sponsors, and numerous fans who had already purchased concert tickets. They were shocked by the sudden cancellation and have been coming to Thung Tako Police Station to file reports as evidence.

The incident attracted significant public interest. Reporters visited the site near Khao Pip market, Thung Thakrai Subdistrict, Thung Tako District, Chumphon Province. A large advertising billboard was installed at the event entrance, located just 700 meters from the Khao Pip intersection toward Khao Thalu route. The sign displayed “KHAOPIP2 MUSIC FESTIVAL” scheduled for Saturday, 11 July 2026, listing five performing artists: LITTLE ANGEL, NAP THE NAP, SEK LOSO, JOEY PHUWASIT, and MEYOU. It also promoted the event as a new musical journey at the southern gateway. Ticket prices were listed as 990 baht for general admission, 8,000 baht for VIP (4 people), and 12,000 baht for VVIP (4 people).

At the concert site, teams from two mobile network providers, representatives from an alcohol beverage company, stage and sound technicians, and vendors were all busy dismantling the stage and packing equipment. Everyone stated they had been abandoned by the organizer. Representatives from each group had already filed complaints at Thung Tako Police Station.

Later, reporters went to Thung Tako Police Station and found nearly 100 people waiting in line to file complaints. These included event coordinators, PR teams, vendors, and fans who had purchased tickets. A female coordinator explained that the cancellation was due to the organizer failing to pay the artists as agreed, leading the artists to cancel the event for breach of contract. This had a severe chain effect impacting the entire team including stage crews, sound systems, vendors, and businesses prepared for the event, making continuation impossible.

“We admit the damage is very serious, especially to our image and trustworthiness in this line of work. The reason we’re filing complaints is because we are not involved in the organizer’s contract breach. We work professionally and do not want to risk our future careers over this incident,” the coordinator said.

Ms. Baramiket Hemtanon and her boyfriend, influencers who were unpaid by the organizer, reported that they promoted and publicized the event and had to file complaints at Thung Tako Police Station due to unpaid wages, fuel, and accommodation costs. She revealed that the organizer never actually hired the artists as advertised on the event page. They agreed to pay 30,000 baht for a one-month promotion on social media and 15,000 baht for on-site assistance, excluding fuel and lodging, which the organizer promised to cover but never paid a single baht,

Mr. Pisit Ratana, a vendor, said he and a group of sellers travel nationwide to sell at major concerts such as those of Huayrai and Ble Patumrach, visiting provinces like Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, and recently Songkhla. For this event, they sold camping chairs and folding tents, paying 5,000 baht per booth. Around 50-60 vendors booked spots, totaling rental fees of 200,000-300,000 baht, which they transferred directly to the organizer’s page owner. Additional expenses included over 3,500 baht for travel, 800 baht for hotel accommodation, and daily expenses, costing them more than 10,000 baht out of pocket without selling anything.

Meanwhile, fans Rujira Sukemoth and Supaporn Singsakol brought proof of ticket payments when filing complaints. They said they bought tickets specifically to see the famous rock singer “Sek Loso” and other bands. Having enjoyed last year’s event, they planned to attend again. They purchased seven tickets in advance at 790 baht each, totaling 5,530 baht, paying via bank transfer to the clearly named account “Sukanan 789 Co., Ltd.” However, shortly before the event, rumors spread that Sek Loso refused to perform.

Initially, investigators collected all payment transfer evidence and ticket purchase communications as proof. They are preparing to summon representatives from Sukanan 789 Co., Ltd., the account holder, to investigate the facts and proceed with legal action.

The children’s band “Little Angels,” consisting of four girls hired to perform as opening acts, traveled 18 hours from Tak to Chumphon but were abandoned by the organizer without payment. They must cover their own fuel and lodging costs. The band posted complaints about the organizer. Subsequently, “Jae Golf,” a local businessman in Chumphon, stepped in to help restore the province’s image.

Ms. Sasivimon, known as “Jae Golf,” owner of Papa 2000, said she learned about the situation through social media posts and decided to assist the children’s band who had traveled far and were abandoned by the organizer. They only had three hours to perform that evening. Meanwhile, the support from Chumphon residents was overwhelming, with many posting supportive messages on Facebook and contacting via phone and Line, filling her venue as they offered space to artists abandoned by the organizer.

Reporters learned the organizer’s name is Mr. Nirapat Kamwasri, or “Mos,” aged 28. He has since shut off his phone and cannot be reached. However, the Facebook page “KHAOPIP2 MUSIC FESTIVAL” posted at 4:30 p.m. today an announcement: “Due to unforeseen issues, the Khao Pip Music Festival 2 is cancelled this year. Details about ticket refunds and further explanations will be provided soon. We sincerely apologize to everyone.” Since then, there has been no further activity.
