Longtime Bo Win residents feel like second-class citizens because many shops and services cater exclusively to Chinese customers. This has created a Chinese zero-currency economic cycle that excludes Thai people from the system, causing Thai businesses to fail en masse if they don't have sufficient capital. Additionally, there are concerns about behaviors that show little respect for Thai social etiquette.
