TSP Launches TSP Scale X Landing Program to Support Thai Startups Going Global

Thailand Science Park under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and the Digital Economy Agency have partnered with over 20 agencies to launch the "TSP Scale X Landing Program" aimed at creating new growth paths for both Thai and foreign startups.

On 13 July 2026 at the first floor of Innovation Cluster 2 (Building 19), Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani: Thailand Science Park (TSP) held a press conference to launch the TSP Scale X Landing Program under the concept "Two Journeys. One Ecosystem" within the project "Thailand Science Park Scale x Landing Program." Thailand Science Park recognizes the need to establish a new support mechanism that not only helps startups access funding but also connects entrepreneurs with markets, industries, research, and essential partner networks to foster growth of startups and innovative businesses.

The program is designed to support both foreign startups aiming to enter the Thai and ASEAN markets and Thai startups seeking to expand globally, through collaboration among the public sector, industry, academia, investors, and international partners on a single platform.

Dr. Chularat Tanprasert, Director of Thailand Science Park, stated that innovation today does not come from a single organization working alone but from collaboration between research, industry, investment, and entrepreneurs—an approach Thailand must continue to pursue.

To enhance long-term competitiveness, the main challenge for startups is not only technology development but gaining access to markets, customers, industry, talent, and appropriate funding, since no startup grows alone. Especially when entering new markets, startups need not just capital but business networks, infrastructure, and partners that reduce time and risk in scaling.

Under this program, TSP will act as an Ecosystem Orchestrator, connecting capabilities across sectors to work efficiently, helping startups grow faster while lowering costs and risks in business expansion.

Amid intense innovation competition in the region, TSP sees the ability to link people, technology, capital, and markets as a key factor defining Thailand's role as a technology and startup hub in ASEAN's future.

Dr. Chularat added that for foreign startups, the program follows the 'Land • Localise • Commercialise' concept to reduce costs and risks entering the Thai market—covering company establishment, linking with government and industry, adapting products to the Thai market, developing pilot projects, and scaling commercially, aiming to make Thailand a starting point for tech companies and startups worldwide to expand into ASEAN.

On the other hand, Thai startups will receive support linking them with customers, industry, investors, laboratories, and partner networks abroad to solve critical growth challenges such as lack of customers, limited technology testing spaces, and few opportunities for overseas market expansion.

A highlight of the program is providing startups access to national science, research, and innovation resources from a single point—including researchers from five national research centers, laboratories, research equipment, prototyping facilities, analysis and testing services, and a network of over 120 tech companies within TSP.

Additionally, the program is supported by partners domestically and internationally, including agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE) via the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Thammasat University, Panyapiwat Institute of Management, as well as innovation and industry organizations like SCG Cement-Building Products Co., Ltd., all collaborating to create sustainable growth pathways for technology entrepreneurs.

The launch of the TSP Scale X Landing Program not only marks a new initiative but also reflects a transition in supporting Thai startups from focusing solely on incubation and funding to creating "real markets" and "real business opportunities" through multi-sector collaboration.

TSP will officially open applications for the first cohort of the TSP Scale X Landing Program on 15 July 2026. Interested parties can find details about the program, eligibility, and application procedureson the website.
