Keyboardist Kwang of Tosakanth Bands Body Arrives at Hometown Temple Sister Reveals His Plan to Leave Band by Month-End

A somber atmosphere as the body of “Kwang,” the keyboardist from the Tosakanth band, arrived at his hometown temple. His sister revealed he planned to leave the band by the end of the month to start selling vegetables. No one expected such a tragic event.

On 15 July 2026 at 12:00 PM, at Laem Khang Temple, Village No. 2, Mae La Subdistrict, Bang Rachan District, Sing Buri Province, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation delivered the body of Warrant Officer 1 Praphatphong Pudmon, known as Sgt. Kwang, a musician from the Tosakanth band who died in the brewery fire in Ladprao, to his parents and relatives for religious rites.

Ms. Chanyanuch Pudmon, Kwang’s sister, sat alongside her brother’s body. The atmosphere was filled with grief as their parents wept upon seeing Kwang’s body. Their mother embraced the photo held by the sister and said, “Mom wants to hold you one last time.”

At the temple, relatives prepared the venue for the rites, placing a keyboard, saxophone, and military uniform before the coffin. The water-pouring ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 PM, with three nights of funeral chanting at 7:30 PM, and cremation set for 18 July 2026.

Ms. Chanyanuch Pudmon, Kwang’s sister, expressed her sorrow, saying no one expected this tragedy. She said she will not dwell on her grief longer than her brother wanted and is trying to stay strong to care for the family. He was the family’s pillar, caring for their parents and siblings. He was very kind and always helped others who asked. He was diligent and resilient, truly embodying a soldier’s spirit. He was the first to see the fire, the first to warn everyone to escape, trying to keep everyone safe. He thought he could get out, but in the end, he did not.

When asked about his planned departure from the band at month-end, his sister said he had played music for decades, often sleeping less than an hour a night. After finishing playing at 1 or 2 AM, he would wake early for work. He said he was tired and wanted to rest. Recently, he told her he wanted to return home to complete his vegetable greenhouse project. This month would be his last playing in the band.

After serving in the Air Force at Don Mueang, he would spend weekends working on his vegetable farm, but it was too late. He got to rest sooner than expected. She wanted to thank her brother for caring for their parents and siblings. Now that he wanted to rest, he is finally resting. He accomplished what he set out to do. It’s time for him to rest. Rest peacefully. She promised to bring him home to see their parents, so he no longer has to sleep in the car as he often did, but in his own warm bedroom with air conditioning.

She brought back the musical instruments he loved so he could happily play at home. When he had free time, he could tend to the vegetable garden he wanted. When tired, he could rest; when hungry, eat. His life no longer needs to do anything else. She loves him, even if she didn’t say it often, he always knew it.
