The victim of the “Mountain B Fire” reveals that nearly four years have passed since the incident, transforming her from a beautiful young woman to someone disfigured and physically changed. She has paid 2 million baht for medical treatment herself, yet no one has offered support.
On 20 July 2026, Ms. Pranee, 55, took her 33-year-old daughter, Ms. Siriporn, who suffered disfigurement to her face, both hands, and body, to speak with reporters. She said that on 5 August it will be four years since the Mountain B fire in Sattahip district, Chonburi province. The family has already spent about 2 million baht on medical care, but her daughter still requires ongoing treatment without any support or assistance from responsible parties or agencies.
Ms. Pranee said that as of 5 August, it will be four years. When asked if her daughter can live independently now, she replied that while she manages, it is not fully normal; the mother still has to help in many ways. Since the incident, they have received only 150,000 baht in compensation and nothing else thereafter.
The case is still in court, and she does not know when it will conclude. She has already paid 2 million baht in medical expenses herself, and her daughter still needs to see doctors and receive treatment. Currently, it is difficult because the mother is the only one working, her daughter cannot work yet, and no agencies or responsible parties have come to offer care or guidance.
Ms. Siriporn said she wants agencies to come and provide help and advice. She also wishes to work and earn income to help ease her mother's burden. She hopes to receive guidance on what jobs she can do and wants agencies or relevant parties to assist with medical expenses, as she still needs doctor visits and additional surgeries.
Ms. Siriporn has wounds on her face, both arms, and body. She has only four fingers on each hand, and they are not fully formed like most people’s fingers.
