On 22 July 2026, the Meteorological Department’s daily weather forecast stated that Thailand will experience increased rainfall, with heavy rain in some parts of the North, Northeast, and East. This is due to the southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand intensifying to moderate strength, combined with a low-pressure area over northern Vietnam. Residents in the North and upper Northeast are advised to be cautious of heavy and accumulated rainfall.
In the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand, waves reach 1–2 meters high, while in the lower Andaman Sea waves are about 1 meter high. In areas experiencing thunderstorms, waves exceed 2 meters. Boaters are urged to navigate carefully and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, a strong low-pressure area over the Pacific Ocean is expected to intensify into a tropical depression and will move across northern Philippines between 24–25 July 2026.

Central region
