On 22 July 2026, a shocking incident occurred when an unknown number of assailants used a pickup truck and motorcycles to throw pipe bombs and fire upon security personnel at the Bukeh Sami checkpoint in Ra-ngae district, Narathiwat province. Latest update from the fan page ofInternal Security Operations Command Region 4 Frontstates that authorities are continuously tracking the escape route of the perpetrators. During area inspections, they discovered a vehicle believed to have been used in the attack, which the attackers burned to destroy evidence, in Sa Ko subdistrict, Si Sakhon district, Narathiwat province.
Officers are currently conducting thorough inspections and forensic analysis at the site where the vehicle was found, collecting evidence from both the scene of the attack and the vehicle location to aid the investigation and track down the suspects for legal action.
