It states that from 26 to 30 July 2026, Thailand will experience heavy rainfall in many areas and very heavy rainfall in some parts of the Northeast, Central, East, and the western coast of the South. This is due to a monsoon trough passing through the North and upper Northeast regions combined with strengthening southwest monsoon winds blowing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. The public is advised to beware of dangers from heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall, which may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near water flow paths and lowlands.
Winds over the upper Andaman Sea are quite strong with waves 2-3 meters high, and in areas with thunderstorms, waves exceed 3 meters. The upper Gulf of Thailand and lower Andaman Sea have waves about 2 meters high, with higher waves in thunderstorm areas.
Waves higher than 2 meters mean seafarers in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand should navigate cautiously and avoid sailing in thunderstorm areas. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from setting out during these days.
Furthermore, the strong tropical storm “Noel” located in northern South China is expected to make landfall in Guangdong Province, China, on 26 July 2026. The storm will not enter Thailand. Travelers to the area should check weather conditions before traveling during this period.
