It has begun The "Korat Candle Procession" Tourists flock to admire the main highlight and its beauty The "Lisa Angel" with lively enthusiasm

On 28 July 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the atmosphere of the annual candle procession festival in Chok Chai district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, organized by the Chok Chai Subdistrict Municipality, saw five famous temple communities participating: Wat Nok, Wat Nai, Wat Mai Sarapathum, Wat Bing, and Wat Bot Khongkhalom. The processions began gradually departing from their temples to the front field of the Chok Chai Municipality, allowing locals and tourists to admire the beauty of each temple's candle procession.

This year, the Chok Chai Subdistrict Municipality started the procession in the morning, with the first parade from Wat Bing. This candle float not only tells the story of the Buddha’s life but also incorporates tributes to King Rama X.

A key highlight that attracted much attention from locals and tourists was the candle float featuring angels and mythical figures with faces resembling "Lisa" Lalisa Manoban, the world-renowned Thai singer, depicted with seven faces. Visitors eagerly admired and photographed the float along both sides of the route.

The candle processions from the famous temples in Chok Chai district will gradually move from their temples to be exhibited at the front field of Chok Chai Municipality. This allows locals and tourists to view the beauty up close before the floats proceed to join the Nakhon Ratchasima Candle Festival on the morning of 29 July 2026.
