The northern, eastern, and western southern regions are experiencing heavy rain in some areas, while the northeastern, central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the eastern southern region have heavy rain in some areas. This is due to a monsoon trough crossing the north and northeast, combined with a fairly strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Citizens are advised to beware of dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and mountain runoff, especially in foothill areas near water flow paths and lowlands.
Regarding waves and winds, the upper Andaman Sea is experiencing fairly strong winds with waves 2-3 meters high; in areas with thunderstorms, waves exceed 3 meters. The upper Gulf of Thailand and the lower Andaman Sea have waves about 2 meters high; in thunderstorms, waves exceed 2 meters. Mariners in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand should navigate with caution and avoid sailing in thunderstorm areas. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea area should refrain from leaving shore during this period for safety.
