The Meteorological Department warns that today heavy to very heavy rain persists across Thailand.

On 31 July 2026, the Meteorological Department's daily forecast indicated that Thailand will continue to see heavy to very heavy rain. The northern, eastern, and western southern parts will have some areas with very heavy rain. The northeastern, central regions, including Bangkok and its metropolitan area, and the eastern southern region will experience heavy rain in some locations due to a monsoon trough passing through the north and northeast, combined with a fairly strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, which will start to weaken. The public is advised to beware of dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and landslides, especially in foothill areas near watercourses and lowlands.

Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand have waves about 2 meters high.

The upper Andaman Sea has fairly strong winds that will gradually weaken. Waves in the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand are about 2 meters high. Areas with thunderstorms will have waves exceeding 2 meters. In the lower Gulf of Thailand, waves are about 1 meter high, with waves 1-2 meters off the coast and over 2 meters in thunderstorms.
