It specified that the North, Northeast, and East regions will see increased rain, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the South will have heavy rain in some areas due to a monsoon trough crossing the upper North and upper Northeast regions, combined with the southwest monsoon blowing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand with fairly strong intensity. The public is urged to be cautious of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall which may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands.
Regarding waves and winds over the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand, they are fairly strong, with waves 2-3 meters high and in thunderstorm areas waves higher than 3 meters. Fishermen in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are advised to navigate cautiously and avoid sailing in thunderstorm areas. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand should refrain from leaving port during 8 - 9 August 2026.
