At 06:30 on 13 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ratchakit Kaokhan, investigation officer of Traffic Police Station 1, Division 8, Traffic Police Bureau (Khaodin rest area), along with Chachoengsao rescue units equipped with cutting tools and motorway rescue teams, inspected the scene of a pickup truck overturning and blocking all lanes on the motorway at km 53+700 inbound to Chonburi, Village 7, Tha Kham Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. They found a white pickup truck with a closed canopy, Bangkok license plate, whose right rear tire had blown out, causing the vehicle to overturn and block two lanes, while milk crates it was carrying were scattered across all lanes.

The driver, 23-year-old Mr. Sitthikan Jamkhuntian, suffered abrasions on his body. His girlfriend, 25-year-old Ms. Jutamas Sri-anong, sustained a large wound on her left leg after being trapped under the vehicle. Rescue personnel used cutting tools to lift the vehicle and extricate her, then provided first aid before transporting both injured individuals to Chularat 11 Hospital.

In an interview, Mr. Sitthikan stated that while driving the pickup truck loaded with milk to deliver in Rayong with his girlfriend, the tire blew out, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn, scattering the milk crates on the road and resulting in nearly 5 kilometers of traffic congestion.
