A passenger van collided with Suriyanlek P. Yenying, a famous Thai boxer, while he was jogging along Khlong Prem road in Pathum Thani province. Rescue teams quickly transported him to the hospital for treatment.
At 06:30 on 15 August 2026, Sam Khok police received a report of a van striking a person causing injury near Khlong Prem road in Chiang Rak Noi subdistrict, Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province. Upon notification, they immediately coordinated with Ruamkatanyu Foundation volunteers and Sam Khok hospital emergency staff to rush to the scene to provide assistance.
Upon arrival, officers found the injured man lying still in the roadside grass, wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt and white boxing shorts. They administered first aid before urgently transporting him to Sam Khok hospital. Later, he was identified as Mr. Suriyan Theannok, 29, better known as Suriyanlek P. Yenying, a famous Thai boxer known for competing in ONE Championship events.
On the road, a white Toyota van with Ayutthaya license plates was parked on the shoulder. The vehicle's left front headlight was broken and the hood dented. The driver was present at the scene, along with two to three fellow boxers standing nearby.
Initial inquiries with the boxers training together indicated that the three of them, including Suriyanlek, regularly jogged in this area. Suriyanlek was scheduled to fight on 21 August. At the time of the incident, the van approached from behind and grazed Suriyanlek, causing him to be thrown off the road and slide more than 20 meters. The companions promptly assisted and called the police to coordinate rescue efforts.
Police have taken the van driver for questioning to investigate the incident thoroughly and to take legal action accordingly.
Regarding Suriyanlek’s current condition, initial hospital examination at Sam Khok found no wounds or fractures on his body, only a head concussion. He was then transferred by rescue teams to Krung Siam Saint Carlos Hospital for further evaluation. Fellow boxers and his gym owner closely accompanied him to monitor his condition.
