
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a Cell Broadcast alert warning that water levels in the Nan River at Wiang Sa District are continuously rising, risking overflow. Residents in at-risk areas are advised to closely monitor the situation.
At 18:40 on 19 Aug 2026, the DDPM reported, “Water levels in the Nan River at Wiang Sa District continue to rise and may overflow the banks. Residents living along the river and its tributaries should carefully watch water levels and stay informed through official government alerts.”
The DDPM, together with mobile network providers AIS, True, and NT, sent an Informational Alert via Cell Broadcast warning of the rising water levels in the Nan River within Wiang Sa District, Nan Province.
