Flooding in Nan province remains a serious concern, with reports of two fatalities in Pua and Tha Wang Pha districts.
On 19 Aug 2026 GMT+7, following continuous heavy rainfall and flash floods in Nan province,
it was reported that two people had died. The first is Mr. Sinchai Kangkad, a bedridden patient from Village 8, Silaphet Subdistrict, Pua District. His body has been moved to Yupparaj Pua Hospital, while his mother remains at home. The floodwaters have now receded.
The second victim is Mr. Surasit Oddlao, 45, from Village 1, Pa Kha Subdistrict, Tha Wang Pha District. His body has been moved to the village hall at Fai Muon.
