The Sukhothai Provincial Incident Command Center summarized the flood situation in Si Satchanalai district after heavy rain caused delayed water drainage.

Affected areas include 5 subdistricts and 12 villages in total.

- Ban Tuek subdistrict, villages 2, 3, 5, 11, and 14, with approximately 300 households affected.
- Tha Chai subdistrict, villages 4 and 10, about 10 households affected.
- Mae Sin subdistrict, villages 5 and 17, about 10 households affected.
- Ban Kaeng subdistrict, village 6.
- Dong Khu subdistrict, villages 1 and 7.

Si Satchanalai district issued a preparedness warning to residents starting 19 Aug 2026 at 22:00, while the district, partner networks, and local administrative organizations are currently assisting affected people on site.

Meanwhile, the Facebook page of Sukhothai Provincial Public Relations Office posted that Sukhothai is under a critical alert after heavy rains hit Si Satchanalai, causing flash floods affecting 5 subdistricts, 12 villages, and over 320 households.

Sukhothai province reported flash flood and flash flood situations in Si Satchanalai district after continuous heavy rain, with accumulated rainfall in some areas reaching up to 326 millimeters, and 12-hour rainfall measurement points entering critical warning levels (red alert).

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation sent a warning via Cell Broadcast at 03:16 to residents in Si Satchanalai, Sawankhalok, and Si Nakhon districts to monitor heavy rain, flash floods, and river overflows, especially those living near canals, rivers, lowlands, and foothills. Residents were advised to move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, safeguard important documents and valuables, beware of electrical hazards, and closely care for vulnerable groups.




Initially, Si Satchanalai district together with local administrative organizations surveyed the area, finding 5 subdistricts and 12 villages affected, with more than 320 households impacted. Officials have been assisting residents by moving belongings to safe areas and distributing essential goods and survival kits to alleviate initial hardships. Damage assessment is ongoing as heavy rain continues.
