Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is facilitating residents in the capital by organizing a community service event."Large Waste Drop-off and Collection" On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August 2026, covering 30 districts. District offices will deploy staff and vehicles to collect damaged items, large objects, and unused electrical appliances at designated community drop-off points free of charge.

Residents should place large waste and unused items at the designated pick-up point in front of their homes before 8:30 a.m. to await collection between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on scheduled dates.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is preparing to send staff to collect large waste in targeted areas on 22-23 August, dividing operations over two days by district office locations as follows. Saturday, 22 August 2026 — locations in 17 Bangkok districts.

  • Residents are advised to separate large waste types before disposal, such as furniture, electrical appliances, and sports equipment over 1 meter. Cut large heavy items into smaller pieces, bundle smaller waste, and prepare an ID card to show officials (utility bills can be used as alternatives).

Steps to dispose of large waste free of charge in Bangkok on 22-23 August 2026.

1. Bring waste to the designated collection point.

2. Show identification to confirm ownership.
3. Officials will collect and transport waste to disposal sites free of charge.

Warning:

Illegal dumping obstructs Bangkok’s drainage system and is punishable by fines up to 2,000 baht under the Cleanliness Act.
