Lom Sak Municipality Raises Red Flag Warning as Water Levels Reach Critical Threshold, Risking Overflow and Flooding in Low-Lying Areas

Lom Sak Municipality has raised a red flag warning, announcing that water levels have reached a critical threshold, risking riverbank overflow and flooding in low-lying areas. Residents are advised to move valuables to higher ground.


On 21 August 2026, the Facebook pageof Lom Sak Municipalityreported on the water situation in Lom Sak District at 12:00 hrs. The municipality received water level updates for the Pasak River from the Phetchabun Provincial Irrigation Office as follows:

  • Station S33 Lom Kao: water level 5.26 meters, decreasing.
  • Station S53 Ban Wang Rong Bridge: water level 5.28 meters, increasing.
  • Station S3 Lom Sak: water level 7.43 meters, increasing.

The Phetchabun Provincial Irrigation Office has advised Lom Sak Municipality to raise a red flag as water levels have reached critical levels.

Residents living along the Pasak River and in low-lying areas are urged to prepare by moving valuables to higher ground. The municipality will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide ongoing updates.
