Doi Suthep-Pui National Park Temporarily Closes Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall Over Flood and Landslide Risks

Doi Suthep-Pui National Park has announced the temporary closure of Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall to visitors following continuous heavy rain, fearing flash floods and landslides.


On 21 August 2026, the fan pageDoi Suthep-Pui National Parkposted that Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall will be temporarily closed to tourism starting today (21 August 2026) until conditions return to normal.

Due to heavy rain accumulating continuously for 2-3 days in the area under the responsibility of Checkpoint 2 (Huai Tueng Thao), with rain still falling today, for the safety of visitors' lives and property from natural hazards such as flash floods, landslides, fallen trees, and broken branches,

the park announces a strict ban on tourists and the public from entering the park area (Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall and surrounding forest) starting today (21 August 2026) until the situation stabilizes.
