On 24 August 2026, the Facebook page "Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Headquarters" posted a statement saying that on 24 August 2026, suspects set fire to and bombed the convenience store at the Langa branch, Langa Subdistrict, Mayo District, Pattani Province, before fleeing the area.
Later, police from Mayo Police Station who were investigating and pursuing the suspects clashed with them during their escape. Initially, no police officers or civilians were injured.
Currently, authorities are inspecting the area, collecting evidence, and reviewing details of the incident to proceed according to legal procedures. They have also increased security measures in the area to ensure public safety.
