1. The aerial mission was solely for patrolling and surveillance.
On the night of 22 Aug 2026, multiple violent incidents occurred across Narathiwat Province. The Narathiwat Task Force deployed a helicopter to conduct aerial patrol and surveillance missions to support and coordinate with ground forces. No weapons were taken aboard the aircraft for firing during the mission.
2. No sergeant-ranked personnel were on duty aboard the aircraft.
During that mission, four personnel were on board, none carrying firearms as per strict orders forbidding weapons on aircraft. The crew included a pilot, co-pilot, and a staff officer—all commissioned officers. The staff officer was responsible for aerial surveillance and coordinating with ground units.
