The Khon Kaen City Police Chief revealed that a summons was sent to 'Aunt Dara' to acknowledge trespassing charges on 27 Aug 2026. However, there has been no contact so far. He noted that a day has 24 hours ending at midnight, and if she does not come, a second summons will be issued.
The ongoing epic land dispute case at Wat Pa Adunyararm in Khon Kaen remains of great public interest after Ms. Chommanee Noijan, known as Aunt Dara, led a group to place concrete pipes blocking the entrance and exit of the temple, claiming land rights. This action has resulted in multiple legal charges. Aunt Dara and her heirs continue to persistently seek evidence to dispute the temple's land deed.
At 3:00 p.m. on 27 August 2025 at Khon Kaen City Police Station, reporters were informed by Pol. Col. Yosawat Kaewsuebtanun, Chief of Khon Kaen City Police Station, regarding the summons issued to Aunt Dara, or Ms. Chommanee Noijan, aged 62, and associates to acknowledge trespassing charges related to blocking the entrance and exit of Wat Pa Adunyararm. The investigator issued the first summons for a 15-day period ending on 27 August 2026 because Aunt Dara resides outside Khon Kaen province. Those within the province were given 7 days as per the summons.
The group that blocked the entrance and exit of Wat Pa Adunyararm, located within Khon Kaen Municipality, on the daytime of 10 August 2026, included locals from Khon Kaen. These included workers from a building materials store who delivered concrete pipes to the temple and a concrete mixer truck driver also from Khon Kaen.
The building materials store selling concrete and pipes is located in Khon Kaen province. Six local individuals have been summoned; all have provided statements as witnesses. Only Aunt Dara has been summoned to acknowledge charges of joint trespassing.
The Khon Kaen City Police Chief added that since morning until now, there has been no contact from Aunt Dara, and she has not appeared. It is unknown whether she will come or not, or possibly arrive late at night, as a day ends at midnight. If she does not appear, she must notify the investigator in writing. If 24 hours pass without appearance, investigators will issue a second summons against Aunt Dara for the same charge.
