On 28 August 2026, the Facebook pageof Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park posted an announcementregarding the closure of tourism and camping in Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park (preparation phase) for 2026. It stated that the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has reviewed the closure periods of tourism and camping in national parks and forest parks to manage tourism sites effectively in 2026, matching seasonal weather conditions and the capacity of natural resources, allowing them to recover, ensuring safety for tourists, providing clarity for activities or permits related to tourism, and communicating information to tourists.
Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park (preparation phase) has considered this for the benefit of protecting natural resources and tourist safety during the rainy season. Under the authority of Section 20 of the National Park Act B.E. 2562 (2019), along with the Department's regulations concerning entry into national parks (No. 2) B.E. 2568 (2025), it announces the closure of all tourism and camping activities from 1 to 30 September 2026.
