On 28 Aug 2026, a fire broke out inside Khlong Thom Center on Worachak Road, Pom Prap Subdistrict, Pom Prap Sattru Phai District. Fire and rescue personnel from Suan Mali Fire Station rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire urgently.

At 22:15, Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, visited the fire site at Khlong Thom Center. He stated that initially, no one was trapped inside the building, but the situation remains uncontrolled. Firefighters are hesitant to enter due to the risk of the building collapsing.
