"AIKIDS CODERS" team The outstanding Thai youth team won 9 awards at the "Junior Botball Challenge Global 2026" an international coding competition to control robots.
Reporters say this is a significant moment of pride for the "AIKIDS CODERS," a Thai youth team that traveled to compete in coding and robotics at the international "Junior Botball Challenge Global 2026" and impressively brought home global awards for Thailand.
The AI KIDS Institute, together with TEEMS Global, sent representatives of Thai youth to participate in the Junior Botball Challenge Global Finals 2026 held in Beijing, China, on 13-14 August 2026.
This event featured over 3,000 competitors from 15 countries. It was the global final of an international coding competition to control robots for children aged 4-14, focusing on promoting STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and coding.
For this competition, the Thai team "AIKIDS CODERS" competed in categories ranging from Beginner (under 8 years old) to Advanced (under 15 years old) and won awards in every category entered. Notably, all teams in the Beginner (under 8 years) category earned the "GOLD PRIZE."
The summary of their 9 global awards is as follows:
In total, the proud medal tally includes 7 "GOLD PRIZE" teams, 1 "SECOND PRIZE" team, and 1 "THIRD PRIZE" team.
This success reflects not only skills in coding and robotics but also results from discipline, rigorous and continuous practice, analytical thinking, problem-solving under pressure, teamwork, responsibility, and the children’s resilience against stress. It also highlights the coaches’ efforts in empowering Thai youth to reach international levels with distinction.
AI KIDS is a coding and robotics institute for children aged 6-12, aiming to enhance skills in technology and effective use of artificial intelligence (AI). Its curriculum also develops systematic analytical thinking, providing a crucial foundation for future success.
The Junior Botball Challenge is overseen by the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics (KIPR) and supported by leading global organizations including NASA, MIT, the U.S. National Science Foundation, iRobot, and The Robotics Alliance Project. TEEMS Global organizes the event and holds official rights for the Asia and Middle East regions (including Thailand), also managing the Thai youth team for the world finals.
