A lucky person has emerged: a 79-year-old grandmother from Phichit won the first prize, securing a 30 million baht jackpot. She revealed the origin of the "lottery tickets" – five tickets she bought while traveling to pay respects to the Big Buddha at Wat Pharang Mee in Phitsanulok province.

At 17:00 on 1 September 2026, Mrs. Ubon, age 79, a local resident of Wang Sai Phun district, Phichit province, went to meet Police Lieutenant Colonel Nithat Peerarotphitak, the investigation officer at Muang Phichit Police Station, to officially record the event after winning the first prize in the government lottery for the draw dated 1 September 2026.

Mrs. Ubon presented five government lottery tickets, draw number 33, bearing the number 417212, with a total prize value of 30 million baht, to the police officers with great joy.

Initial inquiries revealed that Mrs. Ubon bought these lottery tickets while visiting the Big Buddha at Wat Pharang Mee in Noen Maprang district, Phitsanulok province. When the lottery results were announced, her numbers matched the first prize, bringing immense happiness to her and her family. She then decided to come to Muang Phichit Police Station to formally record her win as evidence.
