Nonthaburi Revokes Local Official Appointments for 150 Individuals

Nonthaburi Governor Chettha Mosikharat revealed that appointments for 150 local government officials have been revoked.

On 2 Sep 2026 GMT+7, at the Nonthaburi City Hall, Governor Chettha Mosikharat disclosed that for the 2025 roster of local administrative officials in Nonthaburi province, covering all positions and local administrative organizations (LAOs), a total of 422 individuals had been appointed previously. Following resolutions from the Central Committee and the Local Administration Committee communicated to Nonthaburi, a first group of 150 individuals had to be removed from the roster and their appointments revoked. The province held meetings and instructed all LAOs to proceed accordingly, which they have completed within the timeframe set by the Department of Local Administration.

Regarding the operations of local administrative organizations, the Nonthaburi local administration office reported on the implementation of the provincial committee's resolutions. As of today, all LAOs have complied by revoking appointments for all 150 individuals in the first group. This first roster was officially canceled. The second roster, as notified by the Department of Local Administration, does not include these individuals, thus they must be removed.

For those whose appointments were revoked but who remain in the second roster, there are 28 such individuals. These 28 were temporarily removed from the list but still retain their place in the second roster. They will be appointed in the future according to their ranking when their turn arrives.
