This is due to a monsoon trough passing through the north and upper northeast, combined with a moderate southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
Residents in these areas are urged to be cautious of dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, particularly in the Mekong river basin, foothill areas near waterways, and lowlands. People should avoid traveling on routes prone to recurrent flooding, especially low-lying areas where short-term flooding may occur.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm "Sodel" has made landfall in Guangdong Province, China, and is expected to weaken into a depression. Travelers to that area should check weather conditions before departure. This storm will not move into Thailand.
