B.Grimm Power is advancing by reorganizing four business units to support PDP 2026, aiming to become an Energy Tech Company. The company revealed opportunities to generate both short- and long-term revenue, with the capability to immediately connect over 250 megawatts of electricity to customers.
Following B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) recently reporting its Q2 2026 financial results—with significant net profit growth and announcing an interim dividend of 0.18 baht per share—Mr. Nopadet Kannasut, CEO of BGRIM's Thailand, Malaysia, and Industrial Solutions business, provided additional business insights. He discussed the major business unit realignment to support the new national power development plan (PDP 2026) and the company's progression toward becoming an Energy Tech Company. He also revealed opportunities for immediate revenue recognition for the remainder of 2026 and into early 2027.
Mr. Nopadet disclosed that the country's long-term electricity demand is expected to reach approximately 77,374 megawatts in a high-case scenario by 2050, especially driven by Data Center projects in the EEC area, which are projected to require around 3,000–4,000 megawatts. The draft PDP 2026 is expected to open for public consultation by mid-August.
To seize these opportunities, B.Grimm Power has systematically transformed its organization by establishing four main business units that complement each other, with the goal of evolving from a leading power producer into a fully integrated Energy Tech Company.
Beyond laying long-term foundations, Mr. Nopadet also revealed immediate business opportunities where the company can rapidly recognize revenue without new investments during the remainder of 2026 and into early 2027, including:
Besides capitalizing on short-term opportunities, B.Grimm Power is preparing infrastructure for small modular nuclear reactor (SMR) technology through partnerships with European and Chinese allies. This approach aligns with the principle of Energy Sovereignty to reduce dependence on fuel imports and mitigate global energy price volatility over the long term.
"For many organizations, the new national energy plan represents a challenge to adapt. For B.Grimm Power, it is the explanation of the path we have chosen all along," Mr. Nopadet concluded.
