It states that during 6-7 September 2026, upper Thailand will experience heavy rain in some areas, with very heavy rain in parts of the eastern Northeast region. This is due to a monsoon trough passing through the North and upper Northeast, combined with a moderate-strength southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and mudslides, particularly along the Mekong River basin, foothill areas near waterways, and low-lying zones. People should avoid traveling on routes frequently affected by flooding, especially low-lying areas prone to short-term waterlogging.
