Bus Carrying Myanmar Workers Crashes Off Road, Overturns into Canal, Injuring 24

A mass casualty accident occurred when a bus transporting Myanmar workers veered off the road and overturned upside down into a canal, resulting in 24 injuries.

At 06:30 on 7 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Colonel Somsak Puangsuk, an investigator at Bang Pakong Police Station, Chachoengsao Province, along with Chachoengsao rescue units, inspected the scene where a bus had fallen into Lam Wai Ling Canal along Lam Wai Ling Canal Road, Village No. 2, Bang Samak Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District. They found a white and blue Mercedes bus, license plate 30-0074 Chachoengsao, overturned upside down in the canal.

The driver, 65-year-old Mr. Amnuay, and 30 Myanmar employees had exited the bus and were standing beside the road. Among them, 24 people were injured: 21 men and 3 women. Chachoengsao rescue personnel promptly administered first aid before rushing the injured to Chularat 11 Hospital.

During the investigation, driver Mr. Amnuay stated that while driving to pick up Myanmar workers for Velgrow Industrial Estate, the bus entered a narrow alley where it lost control, veered off the shoulder, and overturned upside down into the canal, causing the injuries.
