A businesswoman has announced a 100,000 baht reward for anyone who returns her beloved Scottish Fold cat, "Chang An," missing from her home in Nonthaburi since 13 August. She said she has cried every night since the loss.
On 7 September 2026, reporters visited a village along Rama 5 Road, Bang Khu Wiang Subdistrict, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province. They spoke with Ms. Thanatsorn, also known as Nok Thanyakritthanakorn, 54, a real estate businesswoman. After her Scottish Fold cat disappeared without a trace, her family has been searching everywhere but found no sign. The entire family has been unable to eat or sleep properly for over a month.
Ms. Thanatsorn, or Nok, spoke with tearful sadness that her missing Scottish Fold cat is named "Chang An," a 2-year-old male with solid gray fur and yellow eyes. Chang An disappeared from their home on 13 August 2026. The cat has a chronic illness and tires easily, requiring medication. Since the disappearance, she and her family have searched the entire village, posting his picture around various locations but found nothing. She initially offered a 50,000 baht reward, but no leads came in. She is now asking the media to help spread the word, increasing the reward to 100,000 baht for anyone who provides information or returns Chang An home immediately. Since he went missing, she has cried and been very upset every night. Another cat she owns, named "Mulan," has also become withdrawn and less lively, seeming to sense Chang An's absence, no longer playful or cheerful as before.
Ms. Nok then took reporters to see Chang An’s well-air-conditioned bedroom, now empty except for his vacant cat condo. She has kept the condo untouched, hoping that if Chang An is nearby, he might smell it and return home. Though a faint hope, she is doing everything possible. She also placed 16 incense sticks in front of the house, following advice from other cat owners’ beliefs. Additionally, she asked the security guards to display a large photo of Chang An at the village entrance gate, hoping residents who see or find him will report to her.
Ms. Kanokwan, Nok’s older sister, expressed deep sympathy for her sister. Chang An and Mulan are Scottish Fold cats that her sister has lovingly cared for over two years. Since Chang An went missing, she has seen Nok repeatedly looking around the house, asking neighbors and nearby houses about him, but there is still no sign. She does not know how to help her sister but wants to urge anyone who has found or taken Chang An to please return him. They will pay cash immediately without any conditions.
