On 10 Sep 2026, Thailand continues to experience ongoing rain with some heavy rainfall, including very heavy rain in parts of the western North, lower Northeast, Central region, Bangkok Metropolitan area, and East. This is due to a high-pressure area or cold air mass spreading over the upper North and upper Northeast, causing a monsoon trough to shift over the lower North, upper Central, and Northeast, reaching a strong low-pressure area over the central South China Sea, combined with a moderate-strength southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, South, Central, East, and Gulf of Thailand.
From 11 to 13 Sep 2026, the lower Northeast, Central region including Bangkok Metropolitan area, East, and South will continue to experience rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas, while the upper North and upper Northeast will see decreasing rain. This is because the high-pressure or cold air mass from China will spread over the upper North and upper Northeast, causing the monsoon trough to shift over the lower Central, lower Northeast, and East, reaching a strong low-pressure area over the central South China Sea, combined with a strengthening southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, South, and Gulf of Thailand.
People are urged to be cautious of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall, which may cause flash floods and flash floods. Those living near foothills, waterways, and lowland areas should avoid traveling through frequently flooded routes, especially low-lying areas prone to short-term flooding.
Additionally, from 11 to 13 Sep 2026, the strong low-pressure area over the central South China Sea is expected to intensify into a tropical cyclone and is forecast to approach the northern coast of Vietnam around 14-15 Sep 2026. Citizens should closely monitor weather updates during this period.
