A late-night accident in Phetchabun involved a car crashing into the rear of a concrete truck, followed by a trailer truck hitting the car again, splitting it into two parts. Fortunately, everyone exited the car beforehand, so there were no injuries. Authorities are expediting the investigation into the cause.
On 11 Sep 2026, a reporter noted that a Facebook user posted a video showing a car crashing into the rear of a concrete truck stopped at a red light. Twelve minutes later, a trailer truck collided with the car, crushing it and splitting it into two. The post included a message: “Emergency call 40 at Mod Din Daeng intersection last night. Some events make us survive… please share to warn others about the dangers of driving in this area.”
The CCTV footage shows that at about 03:46 GMT+7, a concrete truck was stopped at the red light at Mod Din Daeng intersection, Khlong Krachang Subdistrict, Si Thep District, Phetchabun Province. Then, a Suzuki car with license plate KhLa 8948 Bangkok crashed into the rear. Around 03:58 GMT+7, a trailer truck with license plate 70-4408 Chai Nat then struck the car again, crushing it against the concrete truck and splitting it into two, leaving the car completely destroyed.
Fortunately, all occupants had already exited the car, so the accident caused no injuries, only property damage. It is believed that the drivers of the car and trailer truck may have fallen asleep at the wheel. Si Thep police will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of this accident.
