On 14 September 2026 in Sukhothai province, reporters visited the lottery stand of Je Haeng, known for the confusing lottery case, in Paknam subdistrict, Sawankhalok district. The atmosphere was busy with customers buying lucky numbers all day as the government lottery draw date, 16 September 2026, approached. Recently, Je Haeng’s stand had a customer who won the fourth prize, attracting many buyers. Some called to reserve numbers, while others let Aunt Khayan and Je Haeng select the tickets for them.
Regarding the 6 million baht lottery dispute, Aunt Khayan and Je Haeng are scheduled to attend the hearing at the Nonthaburi Provincial Court on 23 November 2026.
It was reported that on 31 July 2026, Aunt Khayan, Je Haeng, their lawyer, along with Uncle Det and Aunt Waew, who are defendants, appeared at the Sawankhalok Provincial Court.
After the hearing, Aunt Khayan’s lawyer posted on Facebook that the two defendants confessed to the charges of theft and destruction of Aunt Khayan’s lottery tickets. They agreed to compensate her 150,000 baht for other damages and apologized in court. Aunt Khayan reserved her right to claim the prize money from the Lottery Office.
The court sentenced both defendants to one year in prison (reduced), fined each 10,000 baht, with a two-year suspended sentence. They must also perform 24 hours of community service and report to probation officers four times.
Uncle Det and Aunt Waew confirmed they will cooperate by testifying for Aunt Khayan to assert her right to claim the first prize lottery money from the Lottery Office as the rightful owner of the winning ticket.
At times, Aunt Khayan revealed that Uncle Det and Aunt Waew had respectfully apologized to her. Regarding the 6 million baht lottery case, her lawyer has submitted the claim to the Lottery Office. She said she feels relieved and grateful for the support received. If she gets the 6 million baht, she plans to hold a seven-day likay performance to honor the Four Siblings Buddha at Wat Paknam.
