
Khao Phanom Bencha National Park in Krabi Province has announced the temporary closure of the Huai To Waterfall tourist site starting 18 Sep 2026 GMT+7 to prevent dangers from flash flooding until conditions normalize.
On 18 September 2026 GMT+7, the Facebook pageKhao Phanom Bencha National Parkposted an announcement of the temporary closure of the Huai To Waterfall tourist site.
The announcement cited a warning from the Meteorological Department about heavy to very heavy rain in upper southern Thailand, warning number 1 205/2569 dated 15 September 2026 GMT+7. It predicted accumulated heavy rain in many areas from 17 to 20 September 2026 GMT+7, possibly causing flash floods, sudden flooding, and landslides. Additionally, Khao Phanom Bencha National Park has experienced continuous heavy rain overnight, causing rapidly rising, murky water and strong currents at Huai To Waterfall, which may endanger lives and property of visitors.
Therefore, for visitor safety and to facilitate park staff operations, Khao Phanom Bencha National Park has temporarily closed Huai To Waterfall tourism starting 18 September 2026 GMT+7 until the situation returns to normal.
