On 22 September 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that the water situation in Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province, remains critical as rapidly rising water volumes from the Khae Nunuman and Khae Phra Prong rivers have caused flooding, particularly affecting the Old Market community, also known as the "100-Year-Old Market," within Kabin Buri Municipality.
It was recently observed that water levels continue to rise steadily. In addition to overflowing banks, water has backed up through drainage pipes in the community, spreading into homes and surrounding areas. Residents have hurried to move belongings, electrical appliances, and valuables to higher ground to prevent damage as water levels are expected to continue rising.
At 18:00 today, the Prachinburi River level measured at the Kabin Buri Meteorological Station reached 9.31 meters, continuing its upward trend.
Meanwhile, soldiers from the 2nd Infantry Division King's Guard, together with Kabin Buri municipal officials, have urgently entered the area to assist residents by lifting and relocating their belongings from risk zones, while closely monitoring the water levels.
Officials have urged residents in low-lying and riverside homes to continuously watch water levels and prepare to move their possessions to higher ground should conditions worsen, as water continues to flow into the area.
