Ang Thong – Water levels in Ang Thong province continue to rise steadily after the Chao Phraya and Noi rivers flowing through four districts increased by an average of 20–30 centimeters. This has caused flooding in three districts—Pa Mok, Wiset Chai Chan, and Chaiyo—affecting a total of three subdistricts, 10 villages, and 115 households. Meanwhile, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office is preparing personnel and equipment at risk points, ready to assist residents immediately.
On 24 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters covering Ang Thong province reported that water levels in the Chao Phraya and Noi rivers passing through four districts—Mueang, Pa Mok, Wiset Chai Chan, and Chaiyo—have risen by an average of 20–30 centimeters since yesterday evening. The Chao Phraya Dam continues to discharge water at a rate of 1,750 cubic meters per second.
Currently, the Chao Phraya River at telemetry station C7A in front of the Ang Thong provincial hall measures 6.98 meters high. The critical level is 8 meters, with the riverbank protected by a 10-meter dam. Water flow is 1,672 cubic meters per second. At the Noi River, in Village 9, Bang Chak Subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan District, water stands at 4.27 meters, 0.73 meters below the riverbank. Flooding has already affected three districts: Pa Mok, Wiset Chai Chan, and Chaiyo, impacting 3 subdistricts, 10 villages, and 115 households.
At the Bang Kaeo Canal watergate, Village 10, Ban It Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ang Thong province, which receives water from the Bang Kaeo Canal, a branch of the Chao Phraya River, water continues to be discharged downstream at a rate of 5 cubic meters per second.
Meanwhile, the Ang Thong Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, together with the Zone 2 Disaster Prevention Center in Suphanburi, is preparing to deploy resources to risk areas within Ang Thong. This includes one rapid-response rescue vehicle, two vehicles for transporting affected people, two flat-bottom boats with engines, five rubber boats with engines, and 25 paddle boats to enable fast and effective assistance to residents and support operations.
