The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) sent a Cell Broadcast alert warning of continued heavy rain in several areas of Mae Hong Son, Rayong, and Trat provinces, urging residents in risk zones to be cautious of flash floods, mountain runoff floods, and landslides, and to move belongings to higher ground.
On 24 Sep 2026 GMT+7, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a Cell Broadcast warning about heavy rain in multiple provinces to alert residents in vulnerable areas to prepare for flash floods, mountain runoff floods, and landslides as follows.
DDPM warned of ongoing rain in Mueang Mae Hong Son and Khun Yuam districts, advising caution against flash floods, mountain runoff floods, and landslides in low-lying and foothill areas, especially in Huai Pha, Mok Champae, Pang Mu, Chong Kham, Pha Bong, and Huai Pong subdistricts of Mueang Mae Hong Son, as well as Khun Yuam and Mae Ngao subdistricts of Khun Yuam district and nearby areas. Residents are urged to move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, be cautious of electrical hazards, and care for vulnerable people.
DDPM issued a warning due to accumulated heavy rain in the upper watershed combined with ongoing rainfall in Pluak Daeng district. Residents should watch for flash floods, mountain runoff floods, landslides, and river overflows in low-lying and foothill areas, especially Mab Yang Phon subdistrict and nearby areas. They are advised to move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, be cautious of electrical hazards, and care for vulnerable individuals.
DDPM warned of heavy rain in Khao Saming district with continuous rainfall expected. Residents should be alert for flash floods, mountain runoff floods, landslides, and river overflows in low-lying and foothill areas, particularly Sato and Thepnimit subdistricts and surrounding areas. They are urged to move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, safeguard valuables and important papers, be cautious of electrical hazards, and attend closely to vulnerable family members.
