Severe flooding has occurred on Chaeng Watthana Road from the Khlong Prapa Intersection to the Pak Kret Five-Way Intersection, spanning over 5 kilometers. This followed continuous rainfall from last night until this morning. Officials are working to pump the water out of the area.
At 09:00 on 25 Sep 2026, reports from Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi province, confirmed that heavy rainstorms, alternating between intense and light, have continued since midnight until morning for several hours. This caused flooding on almost all lanes of Chaeng Watthana Road, from Khlong Prapa Intersection to Pak Kret Five-Way Intersection, affecting both inbound and outbound directions over more than 5 kilometers.
The worst-affected spots include under the Chaeng Watthana Expressway on both inbound and outbound sides, in front of Central Chaeng Watthana mall, and near the Rama IV bridge at Pak Kret Five-Way Intersection, heading toward Pak Kret Pier. Floodwaters rose above the sidewalks, making it difficult for small cars and motorcycles to pass, leading to slow outbound traffic along the entire route.
Traffic police from Pak Kret Police Station have been wading through water to direct traffic and assist motorists whose cars or motorcycles stalled due to the high floodwaters. Meanwhile, Nonthaburi Highway District officials are urgently pumping water off the road surface to resolve the flooding and help restore traffic flow.
